Carnival of Reminiscence

Let’s build a temple of worship,
A heart and soul, all I have to surrender,
Like the sunbeams sinking into the moon,
Let’s make this night eternal, this love forever.

Poem you are, in words I vanish,
Faded smoke and dark to remember,
Eerie silence; dies a fragile candle
Let’s make this chapter eternal, this love forever.

Reveal the mystery in this deadly kohl,
Mesmerizing eyes, dreams nocturnal,
This seductive worship, this damned castle,
Let’s make this secret eternal, this love forever.

Come to life, oh love invisible,
In shades of red, images surreal,
Shadows silhouetted, songs sensual,
Let’s make this rosary eternal, this love forever.

The earth’s thirst, the monsoon’s drizzle,
Withered petals on a haunted gravel,
Lifeless idols engrave on destiny’s pedestal,
Let’s make this plea eternal, this love forever

Sentence me to death, heavens and angels,
Love--a feeling, a deed untitled.
Dammed followers, blessed infidels,
Let’s make this decree eternal, this love forever.

Gothic, grotesque, ghosts, gospel,
My nuances ---subtle, queer my fables,
Whispers the sea to sand and tidal
“Let’s make this cemetry eternal, this love forever”
